On Grief
I find myself surrounded by people who are no stranger to grief. There's something so beautiful about people who know loss and still show up brimming with love. We take turns being a healing balm for each other, making the heavy blanket of grief a softer fabric, a nicer color. We'll put it through the wash for each other, and return it fresh out of the dryer, warm and smelling like our favorite detergent. We'll sit under it together so a little less falls on you and a little more falls on me. When it's my turn, you do the same.
Grief shows us the give & take that could have existed in all of our relationships, but only the healthiest survive.
